Sugar Mobile SDK 14.0

Overview

This document describes the changes introduced in Sugar Mobile SDK Release 14.0.518-1.4.2-2. To upgrade a custom app to this version, follow the upgrade steps in the Mobile SDK Quick Start Guide.

Mobile apps produced using the SDK follow the device and Sugar version compatibility of the relevant Sugar Mobile version as described on the Mobile Supported Platforms page.

Enhancements and Changes

The following features and changes have been introduced in this version of the Mobile SDK:

Core Functionality

  • The core corresponds to the production version of Sugar Mobile 14.0.518. See the Android or iOS release notes for Sugar Mobile 14.0 for details.

Other Notable Changes

  • The AppStore build scheme has been removed.

Known Issues

The following are known issues in this release of the Mobile SDK:

  • Customizing the color of the status bar using statusBarBackgroundColor may result in partially broken layout on iPhone X
  • Android builds may fail with the following message (use the --verbose option): EACCESS with /gradle
    • To correct the issue, run the following command from your terminal: chmod +x /gradle
  • Android builds may fail with the following message: You have not accepted the license agreements of the following...
    • To correct the issue, run the following command from a terminal: $ANDROID_HOME/tools/bin/sdkmanager --licenses
  • Running brew install librsvg may fail with an EACCESS error. Brew package manager recommends using the install command without sudo. Run the following command to change permissions: sudo chown -R $(whoami):admin /usr/local
