Admin

Features

New Navigation Experience

Org Admins and eSign admins can now navigate more easily between Org Admin and the eSign accounts they administer. Org admins can also quickly find the areas they need in their organization with a new navigation menu.

  • Org admins and eSign admins can use the Admin Switcher to navigate between Admins.
  • Org Admin now has a side menu for navigating between pages on Org Admin.
  • Both eSign Admin and Org Admin have a new header. In eSign Admin, admins are able to navigate directly to DocuSign eSignature.
  • Org Admin Home has updated tile icons.
  • The mobile navigation experience in eSign Admin and Org Admin has been updated.

Enhancements

Improved User Management experience in Organization Admin

The User Management experience in Organization Admin is updated and easier to use.

  • Admins no longer need to enter a user’s profile information for each account membership. Instead, admins enter the profile information once, and it is saved to all of the user’s account memberships.
  • Admins are presented with a final review screen before adding a user so that they can ensure the user’s information is correct.
  • When viewing a user’s details, an org admin can perform actions such as Make Org Admin, Add Account Membership, or Close User using the new Actions menu.

Update Create Org button

  • eSign Admins can now create an organization from the eSign Admin homepage.

Refreshed Header

DocuSign has launched a refreshed header across the applications (eSign, CLM, and Rooms). This provides a consistent look and feel with the updated DocuSign branding across the application, as well as a common way to navigate between applications.

21 CFR Part 11

New Activation Experience

Recipients external to your organization that do not have a DocuSign account will now be able to activate their DocuSign account and sign their envelope all at once through one email. With this new feature, as an unaccounted recipient, you no longer have to search for a separate activation email in your Inbox before signing your envelope. DocuSign will automatically detect you are not an accounted recipient and prompt you to activate your account. Once finished, DocuSign will redirect you to the envelope for signing. This provides a a faster and seamless signing experience, while adhering to the Part 11 credentialing provisions.

This feature has been rolled out to a few select customers and will continue to be rolled out to relevant CFR customers over the next few months.

Validator for Life Sciences Report

DocuSign is launching a refreshed design of the Validator for Life Sciences Report, which provides a consistent look and feel with the updated DocuSign branding across the application.

Deprecations

DocuSign is deprecating the Classic feature Merge on Activation in December of 2019. Merge on Activation is not available in the New DocuSign Experience UI, only functions if the backend  feature has been enabled by DocuSign Support, the account to be merged is a signer user account of an eligible plan, and if both accounts reside on the same server. Please reach out to your account team if you have questions.

API

Error Handling

DocuSign has added new error handling in the REST API when creating fields that prevent invalid Regular Expressions (RegEx) from being saved when sending an envelope. This enhancement will be ramped up to customers globally.

Sending and Templates

DocuSign Payments: Zuora

With our latest DocuSign Payments integration with Zuora, customers can now use Salesforce and their connected Zuora account to save signer payment methods. At the time of agreement execution, signer payment method is pushed data back into Salesforce for future charges, like recurring payments or late fees. Available in Business Pro and Enterprise Pro plans. Requires DocuSign Connect for Salesforce.

DocuSign Payments: CyberSource

DocuSign Payments lets customers add payment collection seamlessly into their agreement workflow. With the new CyberSource integration, customers can use their connected CyberSource account to receive payments from signers. Once the CyberSource payment gateway connection is set up, senders can request payments when sending documents by adding payment tags to the documents they send. When signers receive the document, they complete any required fields as they normally would, and then submit payment information. When all recipients have completed the document, the payment is processed through CyberSource. Available in Business Pro and Enterprise Pro plans.

Signing

Create Recipient View Link

This communication is regarding a change to the url returned by the Create Recipient View API endpoint:

https://developers.docusign.com/esign-rest-api/reference/Envelopes/EnvelopeViews/createRecipient

What will change? Customers can expect to see the length of the URL to be longer. Customers can expect to be redirected through a different subdomain depending on region of the account sending the envelope. Please verify your domain whitelist per the following documentation: https://www.docusign.com/trust/security/whitelists

What will not change? DocuSign has designed this change so that your existing functionality should not change.

Why are these changes made? These changes are part of an effort to standardize and further secure links that redirect into Signing Ceremony. DocuSign is working to centralize the system used for authentication across all its products. These new links provide improved security compared to the current system. These changes will provide the ability to expire, revoke, or modify an existing link without changing it. They also make secret links harder to brute force or to guess. They provide improved auditing on redemption and better ability to enforce authentication policies such as two-step verification. Redemption refers to what happens when the link is used. A token is created via the Create Recipient View Link API request, and then used/redeemed when the link is visited in the browser.

These changes began rolling out the week of Aug 26th.

Demo environment - Feature is now ON in Demo as of the end of September.

Prod environment - Feature is targeted for slow rollout in early January 2020.

Bug Fixes

Admin

Fixed bugs in the APIs and Keys page in eSign Admin

  • Updated the “Review” button text to “Start Go-Live Review” or “Resubmit Go-Live Review”.
  • Fixed te hyperlink navigation for Review Results.

Fixed bugs in the Admin Switcher

  • Removed the admin switcher for admins with only one account and no organization.
  • Fixed an issue which caused the admin switcher to fail to load properly.

Sending and Templates

Template List Performance Improvements for IE

DocuSign will be updating the template list to be in line with the envelope list. Updates will be made to the menu for the folder items and structure.

transformPdfFields

transformPdfFields was not working when used on documents inside an inlineTemplate. This issue will be rectified and transformPdfFields will work as expected. (TT-2230)

Reporting

Download Email Improvements

Users will be taken to a download section upon clicking the Download link from an email. From the link, users are immediately taken to the download section inside Reporting. Users can see up to 90 days worth of scheduled reports. Once the View button is clicked, the CSV file downloads.

Signing

DocuSign eWitness

DocuSign eWitness allows organizations to enable signers to identify up to two witnesses to sign an agreement in a legal and confidential manner. eWitness captures the witness information in the Certificate of Completion to support any legal disputes. This means many of the typically paper-based deeds can be digitized in the future, saving organization significant time and money. This feature is available for Enterprise Pro customers. If you are not an Enterprise Pro customer, please ask your Account Manager to enable this feature.

New DocuSign Logo

DocuSign has a new logo rolling out across the Product Development teams. Currently, it is released for Signing, Sending, Email, Mobile Apps, Admin, Account Server and Validation Module Report.

Updates Since Deployment to Demo

DocuSign has made the following additions, revisions, and deletions to the December Demo Release Notes since the deployment on November 15th, 2019. Updates since deployment to Demo include:

  • Removed Knowledge-based authentication note for LexisNexis
  • Removed Favorite Templates content from Coming Soon
  • Moved Refreshed Header to New and Updated Features

DocuSign has updated some minor bug fixes and style issues in the Release Notes.
