Webinar: Advanced Calendar Solution for Sugar Register
When S3 Analytics was released in Nov 2016, it gave customers the ability to analyze storage access patterns and transition the right data to the right storage class. Customers could also manually export the data to an S3 bucket to analyze using the business intelligence tool of their choice and gather deeper insights on usage and growth patterns. This helped customers reduce storage costs while optimizing performance based on usage patterns.
With today’s update, customers can quickly and easily gain those deeper insights and benefits by analyzing and visualizing their S3 Analytics data in Amazon QuickSight with a single click from the S3 console, without the need for manual exports or additional data preparation.
Starting today, Amazon QuickSight customers can now connect to Amazon Athena, the serverless, interactive query engine to analyze and visualize their data in Amazon S3 hosted in the EU (Ireland) Region. With this release, you can also use Count Distinct on your dimensions and metrics in the visualizations as well as aggregate date fields by week for SPICE data sets.
These features are now available in all QuickSight regions - US East (N. Virginia and Ohio), US West (Oregon) and EU (Ireland).
