New AP Wait Step: Wait for Contacts to Enter a List or a Segment

Automatically hold contacts in an AP step until a specific condition is met

  1. Setup a conditional AP:
    - Be sure to enable the setting "Contacts will be allowed to repeat previously executed steps as long as there is a Wait or Wait Until step before the repeated step is run."
    -  First step is a Wait 1 hour
    -  Second step is a Conditional If Contact in Marketing List
  2. Third step is Go To Another Step, which is the for Wait step

This new step, , "Wait for Contacts to Enter a List/Segment", allows nurture marketers to hold contacts in a specified state until a specific condition is met and collapses complicated loops into a single wait step, thus minimizing the need for complex loops. This feature adds a new wait step on the menu. You can drag and drop this step into the correct program location.

When you edit the program wait step, there are three components

  1. What is the list/segment
  2. What are the conditions to exit the wait state
  3. How often should the conditions be checked

As you can see - the same conditions are available in this step as are available in the conditional step.

After you’ve selected your conditional steps, you will define how often you want to check for contacts who meet these conditions.

 

Updated Sent Message Report Graph

Parity for Sent, Clicked, Open Percentages

The Sent Message Reports in Act-On show metrics in two areas: the central “Number of People Who” column, and the donut graph on the left-hand side. Historically, the percentages shown next to each graph would differ due to how we calculated information for each graph. This created some confusion when attempting to reconcile data across different parts of the platform.

Now, the calculation for the left-hand donut graph has been updated. The Bounced metric has been removed from the donut graph so that totals for Clicked, Opened, and Did Not Open add up to 100%. Clients wanting a quick way to account for the activity of all delivered messages now have that information immediately available.
