Menu on Top and Skins options retirement scheduled for Sept. 29
Cleaner interface and more uniform navigation
When Act-On was first introduced, the navigation menu was on top by default. In order to ease transition to the new interface, the option was created to move the menu back to the top. This has caused issues when making changes per customers’ requests so in order to clean up the navigation and maintain quicker updates, this feature will be removed from the Profile menu on Sept. 29.
Also under the Profile menu, the option to change the color theme of the Act-On platform through the Skins feature will be removed in the Sept. 29 release. This is being removed in favor of more powerful branding options in the future.
Add links to Icons within landing pages
Turn landing page icons into actionable links
The Icon block, within the Landing Page Composer, now has the option to link to a URL, form, media file or another landing page within Act-On. Additionally, the link can be targeted to open in the same window or in a new window. This may be useful when using social media, e-commerce and other call-to-action icons.
Field limit removed from CRM Administration
Unlimited fields for CRM reports
Previously, there was a limit of 15 fields that could be included in CRM reports. That limit has been removed to allow for as many fields as needed for reports. The CRM account fields enabled will also be available for segmentation.
Act-On Anywhere: New Ribbon UI with add account feature
Quickly login and view account connected to Outlook Act-On plugin
By 10am on Monday (9/19), the Act-On Anywhere plugin for Outlook 2010, 2013 and 2016 will be updated with a new ribbon user interface that will also include a button to login to an account. Previously, users would have to navigate to Add-Ins to log in so this will make it easier to access and add Act-On accounts.
