Act-On New Features and Upgrades for August 27, 2015

Released on August 27th, 2015

Wordpress Connector replaced by Act-On Anywhere
Perform quick SEO checks in browser with Act-On Anywhere

In order to deliver products that will produce the best results, Act-On is removing Wordpress from its Connectors. This change is being made due to Act-On Anywhere quickly and easily accomplishing the same results within the browser. Current customers that are using the Wordpress connector will stay connected. If they accidentally remove the connector to Wordpress, they can submit a ticket to have it replaced. The Wordpress connector will no longer be visible to new accounts and users that are not currently connected.

Opt-out link validation for HTML and Text
Know whether you need to add an opt-out link to HTML or Text version

Remembering to update the text version of your message is important to validate your email. Now within theReview section of your message, you can view whether an opt-out link is missing from your HTML version or Text version to know where to easily add your opt-out information.

WYSIWYG HTML Message Upload in Webinars
Create custom promotions and responses for webinars

Now the Upload Message Code that was made available for email messages is available for Webinars. Upload Message Code allows users to upload their message code directly without any modification by Act-On. When users upload and edit their code, they will do so strictly within an HTML editor and will not have access to the new message composer. This means users will not be allowed to drag in content blocks and will not be able to open the message in the rich text editor. Previous upload functionality is still available within any other message startpoint via the Custom Content block.

Important Note: When using this starting point to create a webinar message, Act-On will not automatically create any content, such as the time and place block and registration URL, like we do for blank messages. When using Custom Message Upload in Webinars, you will be responsible for adding the webinar information and form link within your HTML.

Additional Salesforce fields available
Import custom Salesforce fields for a complete view of your customers

Now you can pull the information you want from Salesforce’s custom fields. Additional fields include Industry, Number of Locations, Level and more. You may view what fields you’re currently able to import through the CRM Administration window. If you would like this feature (Salesforce Use Shared Field Excludes) enabled please contact your CSM.

Have confidence in your connection to MS Dynamics

To ensure that MS Dynamics is sending and receiving information, users will be sent an email if the connection to MS Dynamics cannot authenticate or experiences a fatal error similar to the message below.
