One of W-Systems' software partners, Pardot Marketing Automation, announced last week that they have been acquired. ExactTarget bought Pardot, a six-year-old company based out of Atlanta, for $95.5 million dollars.
According to Tech Crunch, ExactTarget bought Pardot in an effort to expand its portfolio with a better email and marketing automation application. “Pardot’s software covers areas like CRM integration, email marketing, lead nurturing, lead scoring and ROI reporting for marketing and sales teams to work better together.”
I have been using Pardot here at W-Systems for the past two and a half years. The product has not only evolved into a robust marketing engine, but it has strengthened its integration into CRM applications, such as SugarCRM. As the official announcement was made, Co-founder of Pardot, Adam Blitzer, sent customers an email reassuring that Pardot’s dedication to customer service and product advancement will remain the same.
“What does that mean to our clients? It means that we’ll have even more resources to serve you. Creating an above-and-beyond customer service experience has always been our goal, and it’s only going to get better as a part of the ExactTarget team,” said Blitzer.
At W-Systems, we strongly recommend Pardot to customers because we not only believe in the product but because we enjoy working with their team. Each Pardot customer has their own Client Advocate at Pardot. That advocate reaches out each quarter to share new features, answer any questions, and relay product feature requests to Pardot’s product development team.
I personally enjoy following their company culture on FaceBook and Twitter. It proves that providing a fun place to work that encourages learning, fresh ideas, and professional growth plays a big part in building a company and providing great customer service. That’s what we try to do here at W-Systems and is why we feel we align so well with Pardot.
Next week I will be presenting for the second time at Elevate, Pardot’s annual conference in Atlanta. I’ll be discussing how W-Systems has developed our webcast series and user groups, while also sharing how we successfully used Pardot every step of the way. I am looking forward to learning more about how other marketers are using Pardot, but I’m also excited to learn about Pardot’s roadmap and the products ExactTarget brings to the table. I have always believed that Pardot is the strongest marketing platform out there for SugarCRM users and look forward to seeing what’s next.
After Elevate, Matthew Sweezey from Pardot will be joining us to DEMO Pardot and its integration to SugarCRM. He will also reveal the new features released and discussed at the Elevate conference.
