Q: How does the HTML editor work? Can we set up our own templates within the HTML editor?
A: IntelliClick’s bundled HTML editor works as any WYSIWYG editor available on the market. To access it, select HTML Editor from the IntelliClick Wizard Module Menu, or from the menu bar, click HTML Templates and select Template Editor.
Templates can be edited in Design Mode, a user-friendly interface which allows you to insert various elements into your email designs (text, images, etc.). They could also be edited by directly modifying the HTML code. You also have the option to import your HTML templates.
When you’ve finished customizing a template, you can then save HTML file for later use, or copy the HTML to the clipboard.
To insert the email in a campaign, have two options: paste the HTML code from the template we just created, or inserting the saved HTML file.
Q: How long does it take to get deployed?
A: For the technical deployment, it typically takes up to one business week. Then, once we determine that everything has been tested and is ready to go, we coordinate with both your IT employees and your GoldMine partner to make sure that the database is in the right position for us to grab it. We also make that if you have used Constant Contact before IntelliClick, to get your hard bounces and your unsubscribe list and add them to GoldMine. Once everything is set up technically, we schedule the training sessions.
The Standard Edition of IntelliClick includes two 90-minute pre-recorded training sessions. The Premium Edition comes with three 90-minute training sessions, and typically, two or three of your employees are in attendance, usually from marketing. We also encourage GoldMine partners to attend, and the person in charge of IT for your company, so we can cover any GoldMine server-related aspects if there are any issues.
Support is done via email or remote access if we need to check your system. We also coordinate with your GoldMine partner if there is any need to.
Q: We use the GoldMine email, is everything automatically integrated with it?
A: Yes. IntelliClick routes, it does not send email through GoldMine, although it might appear that it does. For one-off emails, you need to create a GoldMine template with tracking and then copy the HTML code or file to GoldMine. For mass communication purposes, you would be routing through IntelliSend, which is how we would reference the recipient group and the template in GoldMine, then send out.
IntelliSend can send and track to different databases in GoldMine because some companies could have many databases. You can have your GoldMine email templates saved in the database, but you are not routing through GoldMine.
Very important to note, is that when you send out a mass communication directly from GoldMine, it will not take unsubscribes, hard bounces or spam reports into account. IntelliClick, on the other hand, respects those aspects. GoldMine can be used to send out an email to one person, but it should not be used for mass communication.
Q: How is an automated process triggered within GoldMine?
A: When you build out your campaign, you have the action to trigger an automated process once the email recipient performs an action. In this example, when someone clicks on a hyperlink, we want to enable an automated process in GoldMine to trigger, and then we have the option to select which process triggers, such as sending out a white paper or scheduling a phone call.
