Austin and Houston CRM Acceleration Events Are a Big Success

We are excited to have participated in the SugarCRM Acceleration events in Austin and Houston this week and they were both really successful. Sugar has had Acceleration events throughout the country but these were the first in Austin and Houston. And since W-Systems is SugarCRM's premier partner in Texas, we were asked to take a leading role. About 50-60 people turned out for each event. The agenda focused on best practices for using Customer Relationship Management systems to improve business success. Each session had a wide range of participants...some existing SugarCRM customers and others who were looking at CRM systems for the first time.

I was a member of the "Panel of Experts" presentation at both events. This was an interactive session where a group of experienced CRM professionals fielded questions from the audience. It was good fun and I got to participate with some very experienced people with lots of CRM knowledge.

Dave Gearhart, our SugarCRM Channel Sales Manager, emceed the event and did a great job keeping everyone on track. Martin Schneider from SugarCRM Marketing and Jason Nassi from Product Management were both great contributors as well. Martin wrote a recap of the events in his blog, CRM Outsiders.

We also announced the formation of a SugarCRM Users Group which will kick-off it's first meeting in early October. Look for another blog post soon with full details.
